Ongzi feels that a major reshuffle of Malaysian Cabinet is
timely. Mainly to 1. eliminate confusion
of responsibility, 2. merging of related portfolios into a single ministry, and
3. restructuring of government agencies, 4. to simply the Ministry’s name, 5.
to promote good governance, and finally 6. to reduce government expenses.
Present Cabinet comprises 29 Ministers with 25 Ministries. After restructure, Ongzi’s choice of Cabinet
will have only 19 Ministers, with 19 Ministries, without Parliamentary Secretaries or Political Secretaries.

Lastly, considering the tria
politica principle, in the pursuance of good governance, Ongzi would like
to have a clear separation of powers between legislature, executive and
judiciary.
Member of Cabinet shall not be a people’s representative from
either Houses of Parliament, except for Prime Minister. All the Ministers are appointed based on
their capacity and integrity, irrespective of their political affiliation.
Perhaps we should do away with Deputy Prime Minister too.
